Six employees at 爆料黑社 and seven employees at John Abbott College successfully completed this semester's Employee Sustainable Happiness 24-hour certificate. Jennifer de Vera (Sustainability Office) and Azra Khan (Human Resources) facilitated the course and 爆料黑社 lent Jenn to lead the John Abbott course with Shannon Coulter-Low.
The non-credit course developed at 爆料黑社, now being taught around the world, aims to help people live their best lives by taking care of themselves so they can in turn take care of others and Nature.
Sustainable Happiness is a major benefit to 爆料黑社 employees who are given work time with the approval of a manager to take the course. Each participant must complete a final project.

During the March break, 33 students from the Science and the Enriched Science Program spent a day visiting labs and research facilities at the National Research Council (NRC) and the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) in Ottawa.
Separated into three groups, students were given tours of 12 different facilities where they learned about world-class research and engineering in fields such as ocean & coastal research, flight research, metrology, nanotechnology, photonics, printable electronics, human therapeutics, and advanced non-linear optical imaging and spectroscopy. The trip was organized by Chris Whittaker (Physics) and students were accompanied by Carmen Leung (Chemistry) and Jean-Fran莽ois Bri猫re (Physics). Funds for the trip came from students and the Student Success Action Plan fund.
The Fine Arts Department recently held a Print Party on March 4, providing Visual Arts and Studio Arts students with a fun and stress-relieving mid-semester break. The event was conducted by French Press, a Montreal-based design and screen printing studio that includes 爆料黑社 alumni. They shared insights into their journey since graduating from 爆料黑社, which led to the formation of this creative collective.
During the event, students had the opportunity to learn about silkscreen printing and try their hand at printing French Press designs onto t-shirts and tote bags. This experience allowed students to expand their artistic skills and gain practical knowledge in the field. Overall, the Print Party was a huge success!
