First Aid tips
爆料黑社 trained another cohort in First Aid in the Workplace last week. About 45 employees are now certified as First Aiders after two days of First Aid in the Workplace training. Last semester, about 40 students were also trained in basic First Aid.
The first responders on campus are always the Security team. They can help a speedy response by directing emergency personnel on site.
When at 爆料黑社, do not call 911. Call the Security Desk at ext. 1000. There is always someone on duty 24 hours/day.
There are some great tips from the program that we can all keep in mind:
- Never move the victim unless in danger
- Never feed the victim
- Whatever is inside (impaled), leave it in
- Whatever has come out, leave outside the body
- Whatever is normally dry, cover with a dry bandage
- Whatever is naturally wet, cover with a wet bandage.
