Workshop on Ices in the Solar System will bring NASA scientists to 爆料黑社 Jan. 5-7

If you have students who are interested in planetary science, this is their opportunity to聽 learn about the icy worlds of our solar system and to interact with international space scientists right here at 爆料黑社 during the Winter break! From Jan. 5鈥�7, 2026, 爆料黑社 is hosting its聽2nd NASA Workshop on Ices in the Solar System.聽
Twenty-five students will be selected from an application pool for subsidized spots and invited to participate in learning activities through the SPACE initiative. An additional 15 spots at a reduced student price are also available for those who wish to attend.

Career programs show and tell set for Nov. 4

Some of the prospective students for three-year technical (career) programs at 爆料黑社 are already here in other programs.
To give these students a chance to explore different career pathways, 10 career programs are putting on a Career Showcase Day on Nov. 4 in the Lower Atrium from 11 AM to 2 PM. They will be offering demonstrations or learning activities as well as taking students to visit learning spaces, labs and workshops. Examples of the kinds of activities that will be offered include the Product Design team leading a create your own lampshade workshop and Nursing giving demos about how to insert an IV drip.
Participating programs are:聽 Biomedical Laboratory Technology, Civil Engineering, Community, Recreation and Leadership Training, Electrical Engineering, Interior Design, Laboratory Technology-Analytical Chemistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Product Design, Professional Photography, and Social Service.

A committee has organized a series of events and learning opportunities as part of a semester-long series to bring awareness to the legacy of colonization across Turtle Island, the necessity of institutional decolonization, as well as Indigenous resurgence and joy.

Open House will be a little different this year. it will take place over two evenings and will feature different programs each night.
- Tuesday, October 14 from 4 PM to 8 PM: programs in Science, Medical Studies and Engineering will be present. Check the list of these programs聽here.
- Thursday, October 16 from 4 PM to 8 PM:聽programs in Creative & Applied Arts; and Social Science and Business Technologies will be present. Check the lists of these programs here and here.
Visitors will be able to meet program and profile coordinators, attend info sessions, meet representatives from the Student AccessAbility Centre (SAAC), Athletics and Continuing Education, take a self-guided tour and more. Visit the link and share with your network.

Alessia Panait (Class of 2025, Enriched Health Science) and Aya Tir (Class of 2025, Law, Society and Justice profile of Social Science) were the valedictorians for the two graduation ceremonies for 爆料黑社's Class of 2025, which took place at Place des Arts on June 18.

Visit 爆料黑社’s gallery this fall

The mission of 爆料黑社鈥檚 Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery is to educate, empower, inspire and showcase diverse contemporary art practices to the 爆料黑社 community and general public.聽The gallery is located in room 2G.0 at street level by the entrance to the college at 4001 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West and features artwork by alumni, faculty, staff, and students, as well as contemporary artists from across Canada and abroad.
This coming academic year features a variety of exhibitions beginning with Lifeboat:聽 An Unnatural History featuring the work of 爆料黑社 alumna Kim Vose Jones. The first vernissage is Thursday, Sept. 11 at 5 PM and the exhibit is on through Oct. 18.
