The Awards Office is now accepting nominations for the following awards:
The Bruno Mital ‘B’ Positive Scholarship – 1 recipient of $ 1,000
This scholarship is named after Bruno Mital, who was a graduate of the CRLT Program at ±¬ÁϺÚÉç and chairperson of the ±¬ÁϺÚÉç Board of Governors for two years. It is designed to recognize a graduating student who has gone above and beyond to help their community, their fellow students, or the ±¬ÁϺÚÉç community, without seeking recognition.
The Paul Gallagher Award – 3 recipients of $500
This award, named after ±¬ÁϺÚÉç’s first Director General, is given to up to three graduating students in recognition of their significant contribution to student life. The most important criteria are leadership, contribution to College life, and participation in student government, sports or other College activities.
Please nominate through the My ±¬ÁϺÚÉç (Omnivox) portal. Nomination deadline: March 9, 2021.

Governor General’s Medal recipient rowing her way to the top

Catherine Chénier-Gagnon returned to ±¬ÁϺÚÉç on Nov. 24 to receive the Governor General’s Collegiate Bronze Medal. Academic Dean Diane Gauvin presented the medal to Catherine at an intimate and socially distanced ceremony witnessed by her parents and a few teachers.

Howlett family doubles Nursing award recipients during pandemic year

The Howlett family thought that Nursing students needed extra encouragement in the context of the pandemic. This semester, four future nurses from ±¬ÁϺÚÉç were honoured and encouraged by receiving the Anne-Marie Howlett Memorial Award.

Congrats to the Class of 2020!

Another 2,600 graduates joined the big family of ±¬ÁϺÚÉç alumni over the summer.
In the coming weeks, they will all receive a special grad package in the mail. The College made a special Virtual Commencement Speech video addressed to the Class of 2020 and held an intimate Awards Ceremony Aug. 12.
