You can nominate students for the David Oliver Award (1 recipient of $1,000) and the Harry Fainsilber Memorial Award (1 recipient of $500). For more details, visit /awards-scholarships/nominate/

To nominate, go to the  and look for Awards and Scholarships under the Student Services menu.

The deadline is October 14, 2025

Applications and nominations for awards open Sept. 25-Oct. 14

Nominate suitable students for Fall Awards and encourage students to apply for application-based awards. The period to nominate or apply is Sept. 25-Oct. 14.

To nominate:  a link will become active during the nomination period in your ±¬ÁϺÚÉç Omnivox portal (Student Services > Awards and Scholarships) that will lead you to the nomination form.

Best of the ±¬ÁϺÚÉç Blues 2025

May 14th, 2025

±¬ÁϺÚÉç student athletes who go above and beyond both at school and on the field/court/ice were honoured at the annual Athletics Awards evening on May 2.

Noteworthy award recipients include hockey player Noémie Bastien who received the Rob Springer Memorial Award, basketball players Isaiah Graham-Roache and Regan Cornford who each received the Adele Ivy McDonald Walton Award, basketball player and cross-country runner Mia Simpson who received Female Athlete of the Year, basketball player Raphael Joseph who was named Male Athlete of the Year, rower Nicole Motta who was named Female Academic Athlete of the Year and cross-country runner Tian Yi Xia who was named Male Academic Athlete of the Year.

Salina Haynes named first recipient of Troy Cornford Team Player Award

May 13th, 2025

A new award celebrating exceptional team spirit has been presented for the first time to ±¬ÁϺÚÉç women’s basketball player Salina Haynes. The Troy Cornford Team Player Award honours the memory of Troy Cornford, who passed away in December 2024 after a courageous battle with ALS. It is funded by donations in his memory to the ±¬ÁϺÚÉç Foundation.

David Oliver recipient Zye Mayo featured in local newspaper

This year's David Oliver Award recipient Zye Mayo was featured in The Eastern Door newspaper.

The award is presented to a student who shows great promise in leadership through their involvement in extracurricular activities. This award is offered by the Association of ±¬ÁϺÚÉç Professionals in memory of David Oliver, who was a beloved member of the Student Services staff.

Zye, a student in Social Change and Solidarity, was nominated by his former teacher, Anjali Choksi, Co-Coordinator of the Journeys program.
