Photography: Personal Projects

Learning objectives :

In this course, students will discover concepts, apply new skills and embrace new attitudes related to personal photography projects.

Concepts : the photozine, the phoobook, the video animation, documentary photography, the social and the individual, artistic approaches, portraiture, street photography, portraiture, photographic typology, the everyday, categories of people, things and places, and fiction.

Skills : develop creativity and self-expression, stimulate critical thinking towards their own work and towards the medium, develop presentation skills, create linear and non-linear visual narratives, produce a series of images, sequence them manually and digitally, edit them with Adobe Lightroom.

Attitudes : foster group interactions by way of commenting on each other鈥檚 work and practicing exercises in small groups, familiarize with relevant contemporary photography personal projects and ways of shooting and editing according with each project.

Prerequisites :Camera Basics or entry level experience with an SLR, DSLR, or mirrorless camera in manual mode.
