If you meet the criteria below, you can get your card online through Omnivox as of Friday, August 1, 2025.

Do I need to get a new photo OPUS card?

First, check your OPUS card’s expiry date before ordering a new one. The expiry date is on the back of the card. For students under 16, the renewal period may vary. If your card expires on or before October 31, you can get a new card now.

Next, determine whether you meet the following criteria:

  • Must have finalized your course registration;
  • Must be a full-time student;
  • Must have your ±¬ÁϺÚÉç Student ID card – the OPUS card uses your ID card photo
  • Must have a Quebec mailing address;
  • Must be under 65 years old;

When can I order my new card?

You can order your card starting August 1st.

How do I order my new card?

It’s much easier and more convenient online! You don’t have to go anywhere and can receive your card by mail.

To order your card using the Omnivox Mobile Application, select:

To order your card using a computer, log into the and click on the link Reduced fare OPUS Card under My Omnivox Services.

Follow the instructions.

What photo will be on my card?

Your reduced-fare photo OPUS card will have the same photo as your student file.

    • NOTE: Student ID pictures are available to OPUS after 9 a.m. the day after they are taken.

When will my card arrive?

Once your order is submitted, your OPUS card will be mailed to your home within 7 business days.

How much does the card cost?

  • Ages 6-11: $6
  • Ages 12 and over: $15

Payment is accepted by VISA or MasterCard (including international credit cards).

If you are unable to do it online, you may go to the STM photo studio (1755 Berri Street), you must make an first.

Other students

This includes graduates of the current semester, students with a minimum of 4 courses or 12 hours per week.

You must obtain the form in person. Please visit the Campus Life Office in room 2E.4.
